Fund Development Grant Manager (2 positions available)
JOB STATUS: Exempt (12 months)
JOB LOCATION: Des Moines
PURPOSE OF JOB: The Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa Grant Manager is responsible for writing proposals for Council operating revenue, projects and programs, and submitting timely and accurate reports for all existing grant funded projects. Responsible for seeking appropriate grant sources from foundations and corporations that are relative to the organizational mission statement and Tactical Plan.
Have working knowledge and background of United Way. Must successfully conduct a range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources. The ability to build strong relationships in communities within the Council jurisdiction and assist with fund raising projects as requested that help support Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa. Actively support and promote the Council's Inclusiveness Plan and commitment to diversity. Belief in the mission of the Girl Scout movement and willingness to become of member of Girl Scouts of the USA.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. Masters degree or equivalent experience in related field preferred. Three years minimum experience in proposal writing. Adult Leadership Enhancement (ALE) Director
JOB STATUS: Exempt (12 months)
JOB LOCATION: Des Moines
PURPOSE OF JOB: The Adult Leadership Enhancement Director ensures that the needs of the council are met through recruitment and recognition of volunteers in identified positions, and have proved success as a facilitator in an adult learning environment. Will implement and promote curriculum based on the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Successfully develops, schedules, and implements a year-round adult education plan that creates a valuable experience for volunteers and meets the needs of the council. Identifies necessary adult development (volunteer and staff), and through utilization of high quality national and local volunteers and consultants. Ensures that all volunteers are confident in their abilities to perform their duties. Belief in the mission of the Girl Scout movement and willingness to become of member of Girl Scouts of the USA.
QUALIFICATIONS: Superior planning, organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and written and oral communication skills. Bachelor's degree required. 3+ years as a facilitator and/or educator. Please submit resume and cover letter to Human Resources.
Girl Services Director
JOB STATUS: Exempt (12 months)
JOB LOCATION: Des Moines
PURPOSE OF JOB: The Girl Services Director is the face of Girl Scouts in the assigned geographic area, promoting all aspects of Girl Scouting through interaction with community leaders, funders, parents, girls and the media. Implements the Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa tactical plan, budget and systems and serves as a council management team participant offering leadership to fellow staff members. Develop a comprehensive plan for girl membership growth analyzing market data, community profiles, demographics, membership trends, the needs and interest of girls through implementation of Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Able to influence the actions and opinions of others in desired direction; to exhibit judgment in leading others to worthwhile objectives. Belief in the mission of the Girl Scout movement and willingness to become of member of Girl Scouts of the USA.

Girl Services Manager Troops/Pathways

PURPOSE OF JOB: The Girl Services Manager is responsible for recruitment and retention of girls, volunteers, and promotion of Girl Scout Leadership Experience through Girl Scout Pathways: troops, trips, events, special interest, outdoor, and virtual pathways throughout an assigned area. The Girl Services Manager will work with Troop and Pathways Content Team to implement outcome based strategies for meeting the needs of area girls consistent with the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Belief in the mission of the Girl Scout movement and willingness to become a member of Girl Scouts of the USA.

Pathways Director
JOB STATUS: Exempt (12 months)
JOB LOCATION: Des Moines
PURPOSE OF JOB: The Pathways Director develops and implements pathways (Trips, Events, Series (special interest), and Camp) into Girl Scouts providing the Girl Scout Leadership Experience for targeting age groups and geographic areas. The Pathways Director leads the Pathways Content Team. Retains girls leaving troop pathway by providing opportunities for each through other pathways. Coaches and develops Outdoor Pathways Directors in providing exceptional outdoor experience including resident camp, day camp and outdoor adventures. Takes responsibility for resident camp program including staffing, programming, safety, and budgeting. Council Enterprise System (CES Support) IT Manager
JOB STATUS: Exempt (12 months)
JOB LOCATION: Des Moines
PURPOSE OF JOB: Council Enterprise System (CES) is an integrated set of applications that will support the full range of council operations. The CES IT Manager provides technology support to teams throughout the council developing strong communications necessary to promote the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, and support the overall infrastructure.
This includes management of the database system with completeness and accuracy, and centralized data tracking for Girl Scout related business and council operations. The CES IT Manager will provide staff training to council teams, assist with the development of business processes, and manage council CES Support Help Desk.
