The Girl Scout Cookie “Lemonades” being sold by Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa are NOT affected by the recent Quality Withdrawal and Product Replacement notice issued from Little Brownie Bakers. Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa purchases cookies from ABC Bakers/Interbake Foods. There are only two licensed bakers of Girl Scout cookies, Little Brownie Bakers and ABC Bakers/Interbake Foods.

According to a statement received by Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa from ABC Bakers, they regularly test their cookies and have not detected any evidence of oil rancidity in the Lemonades or any of the other varieties.  Given the inherent stability of the oils they have chosen for their formulations, they do not expect Lemonades or any other varieties to experience any issues similar to those that Little Brownie Bakers is currently experiencing with their Lemon Chalet Crèmes.

Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa serves 71 counties in Iowa, two counties in South Dakota and one county in Nebraska.
